New Specialization
All the benefits of our general MHA program, with four specific MLS specific courses to prepare students for management and leadership in medical laboratory settings.
The four MLS specific courses will replace the generalist courses throughout the curriculum.
- Statistics for Laboratory Managers
- Laboratory Management Project
- Laboratory Quality Management and Process Improvement
- Advanced Topics in Laboratory Management
Our first cohort will begin in Fall 2025
Applications are accepted through SOPHAS with a deadline of May 15.
Admission Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences
- A cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 (4.0 scale) overall or 3.0 (4.0 scale) in the last 60 hours
- Personal statement or letter of interest (1-2 pages) detailing reasons for seeking this degree, previous work experience, career goals and objectives
- Two recommendations from people who can attest to the applicant’s ability to do graduate level work (i.e., academic and/or professional references)
- At least 3 years of work experience in a laboratory setting
- A current résumé
- An online interview with the MHA Program Faculty
