The Department of Health Policy and Management seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill a full-time tenure track position in the graduate program in health services administration. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in a directly relevant field (e.g., healthcare management, health services research, finance, operations management, etc.)  This position is open rank. Candidates with a strong commitment to research and teaching are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities for this faculty position include teaching two courses each year in the graduate program in health  administration, conducting and disseminating original research related to healthcare management and administration, advising and mentoring graduate students, serving on college and university committees, participating in program assessment activities, and ensuring that the program continues to meet all external accreditation requirements.

This position offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience and level of appointment. Additional compensation is possible for funding from extramural grants and contracts as well as consulting arrangements.

Located in one of the country’s best small cities (Little Rock) as rated by Kiplinger Magazine, the fully accredited UAMS College of Public Health is part of the state’s only academic health sciences center. The College enjoys close relationships with the UAMS Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Health Related Professions as well as the state health department (the only health department in the state) and human service agencies.
