Master of Public Health and Doctor of Audiology Combined Degree (MPH/AuD)

Overview

The MPH/AuD combined degree program prepares students for clinical practice of audiology as well as public health science and theory. Within the MPH program, students can concentrate their studies in one of five public health areas: Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Behavior and Health Education, Health Policy and Management, or Climate, Rural and Global Public Health. This combination of public health and audiology empowers the student to provide effective public health interventions in concert with their audiology practice, thus treating the individual and community. This program prepares students with a multidisciplinary perspective for work in public health agencies, audiology practice, healthcare organizations (public and private), government entities and private industry.

Admission Requirements

Prospective students interested in the MPH/AuD program must apply separately to the MPH program and the AuD program following their respective application processes. Existing AuD students may submit their CSDCAS application, an OAA application, three letters of recommendation (specific to applying to the MPH program), and a personal statement or letter of interest related to the MPH program (500 to 700 words) to the COPH Office of Student Affairs. Applicants must file a Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Combined Degree form with both colleges prior to starting their first semester in the MPH program.

Required Courses

Students in the MPH/AuD program will follow the degree program planner for their chosen MPH concentration: Epidemiology, Environmental Health Sciences, Health Behavior and Health Education, Health Policy and Management, or Climate, Rural and Global Public Health.
