Student Learning Opportunities

Nicotine and Tobacco Research Mentored Fellowship

These fellowships are designed to enhance student skills and competencies in tobacco-related research and provide an opportunity for hands-on faculty-mentored experiences for students and postdoctoral fellows. The fellowship is directly connected to a faculty research project that will lead to a grant submission.

Learning Opportunities for Students

The CST offers classes that aim to strengthen the research workforce and prepare students to compete for jobs that directly address the tobacco epidemic. The courses offered include:

  • Tobacco Prevention and Control
  • Community Organizing for Health
  • Issues in Tobacco Regulatory Science

With these courses, students will not only enhance their knowledge of tobacco prevention and control, but also improve their problem-solving, analytical, communications, ethical, and collaborative skills to address tobacco use and exposure in multiple settings.
