Overall
MPH students electing to emphasize environmental and occupational health are trained to recognize, evaluate and communicate risks associated with health hazards occurring in community and occupational environments. Graduates are trained to function as independent investigators and as members of multidisciplinary teams.
This program is supported by the Department of Environmental Health Sciences.
Completion of all course requirements, including the two final projects (preceptorship and culminating experience), ensures that graduates have attained the MPH core competencies and the MPH with a concentration in Environmental and Occupational Health competencies:

Biology Competency Requirement: Students are required to pass all 3 exams or successfully complete the courses prior to or within the first semester of coursework.
