What does “non-degree seeking” mean?
It’s simple – you can take courses without being formally admitted to a certificate or degree program.
This non-degree option is perfect if you want to:
- Explore public health before committing to a full program
- Enhance your professional skills
- Pursue personal interest in public health topics
Here’s what you need to know:
- Course Access: You can take up to 12 credit hours that may count toward the requirements for a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Public Health or Master of Public Health with the COPH; and a maximum of six (6) credit hours may be counted toward the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Environmental and Occupational Health.
- Eligibility: U.S. citizens and permanent residents are welcome to apply.
- Enrollment: We’ll place you in courses on a space-available basis after our degree-seeking students are enrolled.
- Important Note: Some popular courses might fill up with degree-seeking students. If that happens, we can’t guarantee a spot for non-degree seekers. (Your application fee isn’t refundable, but you’re welcome to try again next semester.)
Remember, you’ll need to submit a new application, supporting documents, and a fee each semester you want to enroll as a non-degree seeking student.
Requirements
- You will need to create a new account through this online application system and complete the necessary fields. You will be prompted to pay the application fee and complete the supplemental application at this time. Apply as a non-degree seeking student.
