Introduction

Dr. Rathod is an expert on cancer epidemiology, utilizing public datasets. He also investigates epigenetics in early-onset cancers, leveraging patient cohorts to study cancer risk and outcomes.

Credentials, Accreditations, and Awards

2023 Early Onset Colorectal Cancer Research Pilot Program Grant, Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center
2022 Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) Postdoctoral Training Grant.
2018 Gold Medallion, Public Health Scholars Program, Texas A&M University

Teaching Focus

Dr. Rathod is passionate and committed to teaching and mentoring the next generation of public health professionals. His teaching focuses on epidemiological methods, cancer epidemiology, epigenetic epidemiology, and other public health topics.

Research Overview

Dr. Rathod’s research integrates traditional and molecular epidemiology to identify biomarkers and epigenetic changes across cancer prevention and control continuum. Population-based and clinical data sources are used to identify epigenetic markers linked to cancer development and increased risk. He examines demographic and social determinants influencing cancer risk and outcomes across various cancers.
