Research Interests

I trained as a pediatric psychologist, and I am dedicated to health promotion and disease prevention at the child and family levels. Overall, my research program utilizes a social ecological approach to reduce active and passive nicotine exposure among children and families, with a specific focus on disrupting intergenerational patterns of tobacco/nicotine use. I also conduct research on behavioral and psychosocial functioning among youth with medical conditions and their families, including research related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The overarching objective of my research program is to promote health across the lifespan and across generations.
