Harneet Kaur is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Science with a concentration in Policy and Economics from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Her research focuses on education policy, applied microeconomics, and program evaluation, with an emphasis on how school-based interventions influence student well-being, mental health, and long-term socioeconomic outcomes.
Dr. Kaur’s work examines the effects of restorative justice reforms in school discipline, access to mental health services, and social safety net programs, using quasi-experimental methods and causal inference techniques. Bridging the fields of education and public health, her research aims to inform equitable, data-driven policy making that supports vulnerable student populations.
