Teaching Focus
Dr. Baloh teaches courses on quality of care in health services settings, approaches to manage and improve quality, and implementation of evidence-based practices and other innovations. He draws on insights from adjacent fields, including organizational theory and behavior, innovation, learning, and complexity.
Research Overview
His research focuses on implementation of evidence-based practices and other innovations to improve performance of health services organizations, such as hospitals, substance use disorder treatment programs, pharmacies, and federally qualified health centers. His primary area of interest is examining the role of organizational structures, processes, and strategies in innovation implementation.
