Introduction

Dr. Fagan leads cancer prevention research, mentors faculty and students, and builds a strong research and community workforce to change social-structural factors that cause chronic disease disparities.

Teaching Focus

Community Organizing for Health provides students with an introduction to the ideas, practices, history and theory of community organizing and is designed for students interested in creating social change through collective action. Tobacco Prevention and Control provides students with knowledge of evidence-based strategies to reduce tobacco use and exposure in the U.S. and globally.

Research Overview

Dr. Fagan’s research aims to reduce tobacco use and exposure and reduce cancer health disparities by developing social and structural interventions.
