Wilberforce Twinamatsiko is a doctoral student in Health Systems and Services Research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where his work focuses on health services research, health policy and health economics. He holds masters degrees in Agricultural Regulations and Computer Science and Technology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. At the Center for the Study of Obesity, Wilberforce examines how school- and community-level factors influence child health outcomes, with a focus on mental and behavioral health. His research uses linked data from the Arkansas All-Payer Claims Database and the Department of Education to study variation in ADHD diagnosis and healthcare utilization, exploring how demographics, socioeconomic status, and school mobility contribute to disparities in care. Wilberforce is a recipient of the Kirchner Impact Fellowship, where he sourced and evaluated over 120 ventures aimed at expanding healthy food access, combating food insecurity, and reducing chronic disease in underserved communities.
