We ask that applicants have:
- A bachelor’s degree (in any field) with a 3.0 GPA average during the last two years of their undergraduate education.
- A minimum score of 150 for each component of the GRE (Verbal and Quantitative) are recommended.
Note: Applicants who anticipate completion of their undergraduate degree after the admissions deadline are welcome to apply and must submit their final transcript to the COPH Office of Student Services one day prior to date of registration for the admitted period. Further instructions are detailed below.
Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Analytics with at least a 3.3 GPA may apply to the master’s program via a degree change form.
Certificate students applying for the HCDA must submit all required application materials with the exception of the GRE.
How to apply:
Applicants will be required to 1) submit application materials to SOPHAS, an online application service for accredited schools of public health, and 2) submit an online application form and fee to the College of Public Health.
1) SOPHAS Application

- Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE)–RECOMMENDED
- A minimum score of 150 for each component of the GRE (Verbal and Quantitative) are recommended.
- GRE scores must be submitted to SOPHAS directly from the testing agency. The GRE university code for the COPH is 6512.
- The GRE exam must have been taken within five (5) years preceding the requested semester of admission.
- Scores on comparable graduate tests (MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, DAT, and PCAT) will be considered in lieu of the GRE.
- Official transcripts (sent to SOPHAS directly from all previous undergraduate and graduate schools)
- Applicants who anticipate completion of their undergraduate degree soon after the admissions deadline are welcome to apply. We ask that they submit a current official transcript through SOPHAS. They must also submit their final transcript to the COPH Office of Student Affairs one day prior to the date of registration of the admitted semester. Application Deadlines
