More than a year in the planning, the first UAMS Alumni Weekend is now just around the corner! Invited are all College of Public Health alumni, including the Master in Health Administration graduates of years prior to the program moving from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to UAMS.
Registration ends August 18, and early registration (with a 10% discount) ends July 31.
The reunion will include events of interest to all UAMS alumni as well as special events just for COPH alumni.
On Saturday, August 22, there will be a COPH luncheon, during which COPH Dean James Raczynski, Ph.D., Tom Bruce, M.D., who served as the College’s dean pro tem from 2000 to 2002, M. Joycelyn Elders, M.D., former US Surgeon General and UAMS Distinguished Professor in Public Health Policy and Management, will facilitate an informal discussion with alumni about public health trends, challenges and lessons learned. The informal dialogue will be a rare opportunity to talk with fellow alumni and Arkansas public health leaders.
Saturday evening, COPH alumni and their guests will dine together at the historic Capital Hotel.
