UAMS TEACHING WITH TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM: Call for Proposals
Proposals are being accepted for posters, presentations and workshops for the 2016 UAMS Teaching with Technology Symposium, which will be held July 21-22.
Educators and trainers are invited to share their experiences using educational technology to improve learner engagement. Presenters will receive complimentary registration to the Symposium.

COMMUNITY-CAMPUS PARTNERS CONFERENCE TO ADDRESS HEALTH DISPARITIES:
The Power of the Faith Community to Promote Health Equity
June 17 9:30 am-6 pm Comfort Inn and Suites, Little Rock
Conference objective: To convene UAMS faculty, staff, and students with community leaders and colleagues throughout Arkansas to promote strategies that enhance the development and sustainability of community-campus partnerships in an effort to eliminate health disparities in Arkansas.
Conference registration is FREE, but will be limited to 200 participants.
Target audience: faith leaders, health ministries, educators, researchers and health care providers.
Keynote speaker: Acacia Bamberg Salatti, Director of the Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, US Dept. of Health and Human Services.

ARKANSAS PUBLIC HEALTH ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

The theme of this year’s Arkansas Public Health Association’s (APHA) annual educational conference will be “Health Equity: Highest Level of Health for All.”
Camara Jones, M.D., MPH, Ph.D., President of the American Public Health Association, will be the opening plenary session speaker.
