Post doctoral fellow in the department of epidemiology, Patrick Apopa, recently won an award for his scientific poster at the 14th annual MidSouth Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Conference, March 23-25. Apopa’s poster was titled, “Cyanobacteria Colonization in the Lung Exhibit Innate Inflammatory Response Leading to Lung Adenocarcinoma.” He won $150 for his work.
