Applications Now Accepted for UAMS Leadership Academy Deadline – Dec. 1
Applications are now being accepted for the UAMS Leadership Academy, a six-month hybrid program designed to support the development of UAMS managers and promote relationships across departmental boundaries. COPH employees are encouraged to apply. The COPH Dean’s Office will bear the $275/participant cost of up to five people attending the Academy on a first-come basis for employees who are accepted. If you plan to apply, please make sure that you get approval from your supervisor and let Susan Leon and Dean Raczynski know via an email.
Leadership Academy will consist of a combination of in-person and online components running from February to July 2016. In-person interactive sessions meet once a month for half-a-day and online content is available throughout the course. Brown bag lunch sessions are held between each interactive session.
The UAMS Leadership Academy is part of the series of leadership courses offered through the Organizational Development Department of the UAMS Office of Human Resources designed specifically for UAMS employees:

- Leadership Essentials
- UAMS Leadership Academy
- UAMS Leadership Institute
It is recommended that participants complete Leadership Bootcamp and Essentials before beginning Leadership Academy.

Fellowship Opportunities for Students and Recent Alumni
Recent master and doctoral level alumni with training in epidemiology, statistics or health informatics are encouraged to consider the four fellowship opportunities offered by the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE). Deadlines for the programs are from early December to February. Specific information about each program is available at the CSTE website.
