Teaching Focus

Dr. Marshall teaches classes addressing human sexuality research and education, maternal and child health, and health behavior change theories.

Research Overview

Currently Dr. Marshall’s research agenda involves partnering with community-based organizations to improve access to HIV care and treatment; training the next generation of public health professionals in the field of maternal and child health; and evaluating interventions that address women’s health disparities.

Fun Fact

Dr. Marshall loves taking ballet lessons and has since she was a child. She also enjoys watching live musical theater, touring contemporary art museums, and eating good food. She often feels the most grounded when hiking or meditating in nature and/or when she is with her family and friends.
