On Dec. 21, Dean Mark Williams, Ph.D., was vaccinated against COVID-19 by Hannah Hollenberg, a UAMS nursing student. His vaccination followed on the first vaccinations given during the preceding week to the university’s frontline staff in patient care.
“As more vaccine becomes available, UAMS plans to offer it to all employees, students and patients,” Williams said. “I was happy to get the vaccine, and I urge you to do the same when it is your turn. Thank you to everyone involved in vaccinating our team members. Working together and using safe practices like hand washing, social distancing, mask wearing and now vaccinations, we will defeat this pandemic.”
